Contacting the Nurses
During office hours, a triage nurse is available to answer your call between 9 am and 4:30 pm with a lunch break from 12-1 pm. Call volume varies on a day to day basis and you may be prompted to leave a message. Please allow 24 hours for non urgent phone calls to be returned. Urgent phone calls will be returned by 5 pm the same day. Messages left after 4:30pm will be addressed the following business day.
Please be aware that as a new patient, we cannot give medical advice or refill prescriptions until you become an established patient. For any urgent matters, please call 911 or contact your previous physician.
Non Emergency Telephone Calls
During office hours, the doctors’ schedules do not allow for patient telephone calls unless there is an urgent or emergency situation. The nurse will direct your question or concern to your physician. The nurse will call you back with instructions, once the doctor has had the chance to review the message. Nurses triage telephone calls between 9am and 4:30pm taking lunch from 12-1 pm.
For your convenience, Healthcare for Women is now offering TELEHEALTH VISITS to treat certain medical conditions that do not require a physical exam. Due to COVID-19, some insurance companies are covering telehealth at an office level reimbursement. If your insurance company does not cover telehealth services, you can be treated over the phone at an out of pocket cost to you (this will not be filed with your insurance company). Or, you are welcome to come to the office for treatment (this will be filed with your insurance company). Obstetrical patients can be treated via telehealth regardless of their insurance coverage for this service. Our staff will call you in advance to go through the check-in process.
