Contacting the Nurses
During office hours, a triage nurse is available to answer your call between 9 am and 4:30 pm with a lunch break from 12-1 pm. Call volume varies on a day to day basis and you may be prompted to leave a message. Please allow 24 hours for non urgent phone calls to be returned. Urgent phone calls will be returned by 5 pm the same day. Messages left after 4:30pm will be addressed the following business day.
Please be aware that as a new patient, we cannot give medical advice or refill prescriptions until you become an established patient. For any urgent matters, please call 911 or contact your previous physician.
Non Emergency Telephone Calls
During office hours, the doctors’ schedules do not allow for patient telephone calls unless there is an urgent or emergency situation. The nurse will direct your question or concern to your physician. The nurse will call you back with instructions, once the doctor has had the chance to review the message. Nurses triage telephone calls between 9am and 4:30pm taking lunch from 12-1 pm.
For your convenience, Healthcare for Women is now offering a telephone visit in lieu of an office visit to treat certain medical conditions (vaginal and urinary infections, mastitis, contraception questions, hormone therapy, etc.). If your medical condition requires an office visit and you are unable to come in, one of our doctors will treat you over the phone. A telephone visit has an out of pocket cost of $45. This visit IS NOT filed with your insurance company. If you are treated during office hours, we will collect the fee before treatment via credit card. If you are treated after hours, you will receive a bill in the mail. This fee does not apply to urgent obstetrical concerns such as labor, bleeding, or decreased fetal movement.
